Tell me this is NOT a new trend
First Nicole Richie wears a white tank under her pretty low cut dress, and now it appears Christina Ricci has followed suit.
WHY? It does NOT look good!! I don’t care if you don’t have the god-given Jessica Simpson-sized assets to fill out a dress, this looks way more horrible than looking flat-chested. Not to mention that it ruins the formality of an otherwise elegant dress.
It reminds me of the early nineties, which were awash with questionable fashions like flannel shirts and baby doll dresses. That was the only appropriate point in time in which white tank tops were okay to wear under a dress. Unfortunately, that was about 12-15 years ago and that fashion era is gone and dead now–just let it go!! Same with leggings, bike shorts for anything other than biking, fanny packs and anything neon colored.
It’s taking all my restraint to keep from making a “1991 called and it wants its (fill in the blank) back” joke, so I’ll just assume you get what I’m trying to say, and stop my rant while I’m ahead.
